Haim Kalev is Lab Manager at the B. Triwaks Bee Research Center, where he has worked since 1997. An expert in apiculture, he is highly involved in education and collaboration with the international community of beekeepers. He has led numerous courses on subjects such as beekeeping for beginners, modern apiculture management (honey production and pollination), commercial beekeeping, and artificial insemination of queen bees. Mr. Kalev teaches courses all over the world, including in Eritrea, Nigeria, Ethiopia, Uzbekistan, Rwanda, El Salvador and in Israel. Prior to working at the Triwaks Center, he was VP of the Joseph Marguleas Experimental Farm of the Faculty of Agriculture at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where he also received his B.Sc. in agriculture. Mr. Kalev has co-authored numerous papers in his field.

Hertzel Avidr or Hertzel Avidor has been serving as CEO of Israel's Honey Board since 2009. Prior to that, he worked for the Ministry of Agriculture from 1999 to 2009 as senior adviser to the minister, and as an agricultural planner for more than twenty years, from 1976 to 1999. In the interim, he served as head of the Economic Department of the Israel Flower Board (1996 to 1999). Mr. Avidor has provided consulting on agricultural planning in various countries, such as South Africa, Sri Lanka, Kenya, and Malawi. Mr. Avidor has a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in agriculture from the Hebrew University and an MBA from Tel Aviv University.
